Foobar2000 does need a fair amount of time to tweak and setup, but once you are done you can use it in just about any way you need to manage your media library. When you first install and setup the interface appears a tad bleak, but in reality it hides some powerful features and a vast array of customizable options. You can choose the Quick Setup option, or you can go make individual selections regarding the type of information you would like to see displayed. If you need, there are skins available to download as well. Foobar2000 is a great audio tool to have in your collection of apps. It is lightweight, has a small operating footprint and has some nice features. It has full unicode support, ReplayGain support and native support for several popular audio formats. On the downside, it isn’t that easy to navigate if you are a novice. However, there is some help documentation available to assist those less experienced users.

Unfortunately you cannot duplicate layers, but the Undo and Redo functions will still allow you to make other modifications and you can revert versions until you are satisfied with the one you like. Layers can then easily be enabled or disabled. This in-turn, lets you preview only specific components of your project.

Can you guess what Library Manager is designed to do? Yes, that’s right, it’s designed to manage a library, or rather it’s software designed to help libraries manage the books in their library. And with that purpose in mind, it does a rather good job of it. While it may not be a bibliophile's dream it certainly is good for those who have to manage bibliophiles and their dreams. Library Manager really does have quite a lot going for it. The interface is easy to use, as is the install. As it’s main purpose is to manage and arrange books, library managers can rest assured that the software does a good job here. Books can be arranged using standard filing systems and can be cross referenced easily. Bar Code 39 can be printed for Books by their Accession Number, which is nice. . As you would expect from a fully fledged library management system, Library Manager can also issue and deposit books, digital media, magazines and newspapers. You can print multiple barcodes and identification cards. (laminating not included) The library databases can also be backed up quickly and easily, and there are a number of different reporting features.Of course managing a library involves a lot of administration, and isn’t just about making sure the right book is on the right shelf. Library Manager can also be used to keep track of the Digital Media, Magazines, Newspapers, and print bills and invoices. Fines can also be easily tracked, automatically applied, tracked, and email reminders can be sent. The number of book issues to lenders can be finessed and changed whenever it is required. Books for staff members can also be issued separately. Key Features: Complete library management system. Bar Code 39 can be printed for Books by their Accession Number. Issue and deposit books, digital media, magazines and newspapers. Manage all administrative functions. Arrange books by department. Various reporting features. Print bar codes and IDs. For unlimited numbers and use of Library Manager you will need to buy the full version. But that said, you can try it for as long as you like before you buy, so that’s good.

We like YuiNotes. We just do. YuiNotes is essentially a post-it notes app for Windows that lets you pin post-it note like notes to your desktop. It’s a bit like the one that comes with the current version of Windows as standard, but with a little bit more functionality and utility. YuiNotes is easy to use and can be mastered in a matter of seconds. The interface is intuitive and pretty much self explanatory. It’s a really good tool for the criminally disorganised or for people who like to have lots of notes that they can recall, hide and dismiss at the click of a button. Users can select different color post-its for different topics, and the choice is expansive. The size of individual notes can also be individually set and the capture function allows you to create a post it note out of a webpage or any software you are using. Users can also search for specific words or references within individual post-its using the Ctrl+f key binding. A particularly nice touch is the alarm/reminder settings you can set for your notes as well. This mean you can create a note, minimise it and not have it reappear until the alarm pings. You can also backup all your notes to whatever media you want. YuiNotes also now supports and works seamlessly with DropBox. As long as you have a DropBox account, all notes will be automatically backed to DropBox, meaning not only are they securely stored but can also be accessed from other devices.

Screeny is a uniquely versatile and powerful screen capture and desktop recording program that is free for personal use. That's right, free, completely, for personal use. It's also quite brilliant. Of course, while we here at FileHippo.com love free software, we really, really, really love it when the free stuff is better than some of the software tools out there you have to pay money for. And Screeny is really, really good. Just to clarify, we don't mean really good for free software, we actually just mean it's really good. Screeny isn't just another Windows Snipping tool that captures full screen and active windows or parts of your computer screen. Of course, it does do that, but Screeny is so much more. As well as full-screen and rectangular captures, it can also grab circle, DOS windows freehand selections, scrolling areas, menu structures, Windows objects (regions, windows, controls) and an awful lot more besides. Essentially, whatever you want to capture on your PC or laptop, you can. But it's the after effects where Screeny really shines. You can add shadows, border effects, captions, watermarks and a wide selection of other options as well. Screeny also comes with an editor and paint tool as standard, that allows you to annotate to your heart's content, and things like arrows, question marks, ticks and a load of objects that are similar to the now defunct Microsoft clip-art. Your screen captured images can be saved in a large number of formats including all the usual image files and the always useful PDF. Captured images can be sent via email or opened in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Screeny also really shines in one other area, and that's the ability to record your desktop, complete with audio. It's really good as well. Additionally, the built-in whiteboard is excellent for creating presentations in an instant, and allows you to save the files as AVI. (In the paid-for version, you can also save in WMV, FLV, SWF) Key Features: Record your desktop, complete with audio. Powerful screenshot tool. Free. (For personal use). Huge number of options. Well designed and lots, and lots of options. Built-in editor and paint tool. Overall, Screeny is a brilliant, free, powerful screenshot tool with a huge amount if utility, with a near staggering number of things it lets you do.

Moreover, it is able to capture anything on the iPad Pro. The app is also capable of mirroring the image to your computer screen at the same time, provided that your iPad Pro and computer connect the same Wi-Fi network. Then on your iOS device open up the control center and tap the AirPlay button. On seeing the screen icon, you can turn on the mirror option. As soon as your iOS screen is synchronized on computer, you can start screen recording immediately. Just click on the record button showing on the upper-left area of the screen mirrored on the computer. When you are finished recording, just click the stop button. You can find the recorded file by simply hitting on the folder icon. That’s it. Overall, Apowersoft iPhone/iPad Recorder is a great app that does exactly what it says on the tin. The only downside with the trial version is that you tend to get a few reminders about the paid version and there is a watermark on your recorded media and some limited functionality. Apart from that, the app has a simple interface that can be navigated by users of all levels of expertise. It is fairly lightweight and has a small footprint.
