Overall, WPS Office 2016 Free is a good alternative to Microsoft's offering. Tera Term
Tera Term is an open source, free, software implemented, terminal emulator application. It can emulate different types of computer terminals, from DEC VT100 to DEC VT382, and it supports telnet, SSH 1 & 2 and serial port connections.
