The tool is also useful to make a copy of your drivers for re-installation purposes i.e. if you format your PC. SlimDrivers also comes with a driver uninstall utility. Overall, SlimDrivers is a free driver maintenance tool that can download driver updates effectively. The application has some good tools such as the scan scheduling and back up and restore features. The downside is SlimDrivers forces you to restart after you install your new drivers.

Driver Genius is a comprehensive application that scans your system for driver problems. It can then download the drivers you require and updates your system accordingly. It can also backup and update your drivers in a few clicks. Driver Genius has a clean user interface that gives you plenty of information without looking too cluttered. It is easy to install and use and has a backup function in case you need to restore lost or incorrect drivers. Key features include: One click updates for all drivers. Driver backup tool. Automatically check for driver updates. Hardware temperature monitor: protects your CPU, GPU and HDD. System information tool: detailed hardware inventory. Remove invalid or useless drivers. Overall, Driver Genius is an easy program to get to grips with and requires almost no technical knowledge to use; it will prompt you at every step of the process. It has a few nice features too, such as the driver install/uninstall function and the ability to schedule scans for out of date drivers. It is also worth mentioning Driver Genius has the ability to be integrated with your antivirus to automatically scan downloaded drivers for viruses.
ToolbarTerminator
Toolbar Terminator is a useful little app that can help you remove unwanted and unnecessary add-ons in no time. Rubbish Toolbars that come with some software are able to take over your web browser and can get into your system. These pesky toolbars can alter the start settings of your browser, take control and they can often install malware. Most annoyingly, most of these Toolbars will not allow you to uninstall them properly. Instead they integrate themselves deep into your system, and can be a real pain to remove. As soon as you install the app and run it, Toolbar Terminator automatically analyzes any browser yu may ha installed and it will display a list of all the installed toolbars. If you wan to remove them, simply choose any or all of them and click remove. That’s it. The interface is simple, straightforward and easy to navigate. The app itself is lightweight and hardly consumers any system resources at all. If you are in the habit of being a little ‘click happy’ and tend to install everything when trying out new software, not really realising what you are accepting, then this is an app for you.
WashAndGo
WashAndGo is a system cleanup utility that is like a scrubbing brush for your PC. It is able to remove garbage files, which fill up the hard disk and slow down your system. WashAndGo can remove temporary files that have not been removed when apps are closed, and old file copies which are created automatically by some apps. These could be files with no actual content, wrong Windows Registry entries, duplicate DLL libraries, unnecessary and outdated service pack files, wrong Uninstall entries and browser caches. All of these files can together cause your computer to run slower than usual, and take up more disk space than is necessary. Key Features include: Removes unnecessary garbage files. Removes traces. Scans registry for errors. Repairs system errors. Security backup feature. WashAndGo also informs you how much disk space has been freed up after cleaning the system. This is a great way to see the benefits of running the app immediately. If you prefer to be more security conscious, then you can utilize WashAndGo’s security option. This option will enable the recovery of all removed files for a period of up to 14 days after the clean up process has been run. Overall, WashAndGo is a simple system cleanup tool, however for such a simple solution, it does use a large amount of your system resources. That having been said, it highly configurable and you can tweak it to exactly how you want your system cleaning and what files to ignore.
