OpenCV for Mac
The Open Source Computer Vision Library, or OpenCV, if you prefer, houses over 2500 algorithms, extensive documentation and sample code for real-time computer vision. OpenCV for Mac focuses mainly towards real-time image processing, as such, if it finds Intel's Integrated Performance Primitives on the system, it will use these commercial optimized routines to accelerate itself. OpenCV library supports: Real-time capture. Video file import. Object detection. Basic image treatment: brightness, contrast, threshold. Blob detection OpenCV for Mac can accomplish numerous different tasks including basic image processing, such as filtering, morphology, geometrical transformations, histograms, and color space transformations. It can also perform advanced image processing like inpainting, watershed & meanshift segmentation etc. OpenCV can also undertake more complex tasks such as contour processing and computational geometry, various feature detectors and descriptors (ranging from simple Harris detector to Hough transform, SURF, MSER etc.) object tracking, optical flow, object detection using cascades of boosted haar classifiers, camera calibration, and machine learning tools (data clustering and statistical classifiers). DxO Nik Collection for Mac
The Nik Collection for Mac is an array of desktop image editing plug-ins that are now being offered from DxO for free! Nik's Analog Efex Pro, Color Efex Pro, Silver Efex Pro, Viveza, HDR Efex Pro, Sharpener Pro and Dfine apps are all available as a free download. This is a massive saving on the previous $150 price tag. Silver Efex Pro is for making black-and-white conversions and Viveza allows you to make selective brightness, contrast and white balance adjustments. Shotcut for Mac is an open source, cross-platform video editor with a wonderfully sleek, intuitive interface. With Shotcut for Mac you work with numerous panels that can be docked and undocked as you see fit. Viewable information includes details regarding media properties, an encoding panel, filter panel, and a jobs queue. You can also see recent files, view playlists with a thumbnail view and see recent search history. It even supports drag and drop functionality from file manager.
