Microsoft OneDrive
OneDrive is Microsoft’s cloud storage solution in response to Dropbox and other similar online services. The OneDrive application integrates with your desktop and functions like any other folder on your PC or Mac. Files copied or moved to OneDrive folders are automatically uploaded to the cloud space. Windows users also have the possibility to access, browse and stream documents, photos, videos and other files from a remote computer that is running the OneDrive software. Documents can be shared and collaboratively worked on with others using the service. Microsoft provides several gigabyte of free storage for existing and new OneDrive users.

With the help of NetDrive accessing multiple cloud storage accounts like Dropbox, SkyDrive, CloudMe and Box becomes as easy as accessing your local file system. WebDAV and FTP servers are registered through the NetDrive Site Manager. Secure HTTPS connections can be configured in the Advanced menu. Once connected online drives can be controlled from Windows Explorer via a drive letter. Remote files than behave like any local data. Transferring files and folders works by drag&drop, applications can be executed and movies start with a mouse click. NetDrive has an option to launch at Windows start and is accessible through an icon in the system tray. The free tool even offers legacy DOS-prompt support including the use of commands like xcopy and dir.

We like YuiNotes. We just do. YuiNotes is essentially a post-it notes app for Windows that lets you pin post-it note like notes to your desktop. It’s a bit like the one that comes with the current version of Windows as standard, but with a little bit more functionality and utility. YuiNotes is easy to use and can be mastered in a matter of seconds. The interface is intuitive and pretty much self explanatory. It’s a really good tool for the criminally disorganised or for people who like to have lots of notes that they can recall, hide and dismiss at the click of a button. Users can select different color post-its for different topics, and the choice is expansive. The size of individual notes can also be individually set and the capture function allows you to create a post it note out of a webpage or any software you are using. Users can also search for specific words or references within individual post-its using the Ctrl+f key binding. You can also backup all your notes to whatever media you want. YuiNotes also now supports and works seamlessly with DropBox.
