MyDefrag
MyDefrag (formerly JKDefrag) is a disk defragmenter and optimizer for Windows 2000/2003/XP/Vista/2008/X64. Completely automatic and very easy to use, fast, low overhead, with several optimization strategies, and can handle floppies, USB disks, memory sticks, and anything else that looks like a disk to Windows. Included are a Windows version, a commandline version (for scheduling by the task scheduler or for use from administrator scripts), a screensaver version, a DLL library (for use from programming languages), versions for Windows X64, and the complete sources. Why use this defragger instead of the standard Windows defragger? Much faster. Totally automatic, extremely easy to use. Optimized for daily use. Disk optimization, several strategies. Directories are moved to the beginning of the disk. Reclaims MFT reserved space after disk-full. Maintains free spaces for temporary files. Can defragment very full harddisks. Can defragment very large files. Can defragment individual directories and files. Can be run automatically with the Windows Scheduler. Can be used from the commandline. Can be used as a screen saver. Can be run from cdrom or memory stick. Sources available, can be customized. JKDefrag was open source, but from version 4, when it changed its name to MyDefrag, it is closed source.
Ant Renamer
Ant Renamer is a Batch renaming utility that has a simple interface, which will easily allow you to quickly automate the task of renaming multiple files. Ant Renamer is really simple to use; drag your files into the Files pane and select from one of the many available functions in the Actions pane. The app has plenty of functions to choose from such as changing extensions and string replacement, to more advanced tasks like regular expressions or the ability to use the EXIF info from your camera. With Ant Renamer you can also link up multiple renaming tasks together into a batch. This batch feature can be saved for use at a later date; a useful tool if you work with numerous downloaded files. Ant Renamer is a free app that makes it simple to rename lots of files and folders by using specified settings. Overall, the app is a lightweight utility that has powerful batch features, which can accomplish numerous tasks in only a few clicks.
Discord Messenger
Discord Messenger is a massively popular communication platform targeted towards gamers. Create channels and separate rooms within these channels and communicate with your friends by text or voice. Access restrictions can be set on individual channels that restrict entry to invited users only. Discord Messenger channels are not centred just around gaming, communities for pretty much any hobby, passion, or pastime can be found online. Features include: Chat with small and large groups via text or voice. Set up different servers to chat with different groups, and invite friends to your server with a unique invite link. Set up voice chat channels, where you can limit the number of participants, mute participants, and set individual volumes for each participant. Run Discord in the background as you play games if you have the app installed on your PC. Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS apps available. Overall, Discord Messenger provides text and voice communication to a huge array of communities and seems to have found a home predominantly with gamers. Don’t let this put you off though, there is something for everyone.

With Virtual Router Plus, you can wirelessly share any Internet connection with any WiFi enabled device. Devices connect to Virtual Router just like any other access point, and the connection is completely secured using WPA2. As VirtualRouter Plus, in effect, converts your PC into a WiFi router, it allows you to create a home network with which you will be able to connect your WiFi enabled devices in no time. Whether that be a cell phone, a tablet, a laptop, a Netbook, or a wireless printer. Key Features include: Supports Windows 8. No installation required. Lightweight. To get started with VirtualRouter Plus, simply click on the app to run it and choose a name and password for the network that you are going to create. Next up, click on Start VirtualRouter Plus and voila! you now have a Wi-Fi access point. Virtual Router Plus is a small, open source app for computers that run Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012. If your router is not Wi-Fi enabled, then VirtualRouter Plus maybe the way forward, especially if you run Windows 8. The app is very easy to use and required no installation. The only issue we found was with stability.
Kickass Undelete
Kickass Undelete is a lightweight and feature rich file recovery tool, which lets you scan a hard drive partition and recover deleted files. The application is thorough, fast, and displays a comprehensive interface that provides you with stacks of information. Kickass Undelete scans all of your hard drive, flash drive or SD card. It then shows you all of the files that have been found and allows you to recover them easily. Key features include: Free and open source. Support for FAT and NTFS filesystems. Filter by filename and extension. Easy-to-use interface. Overall, Kickass Undelete is a useful tool with an easy to understand user interface. It provides you with all of the information you need about the data that it locates, whether the files be in excellent condition, good (with no detected data loss) and bad (where data has been partially overwritten). Kickass Undelete has good search functionality that narrows down the field of search and it supports FAT32 and NTFS file systems. It is worth noting that file undeletion will work best if it is performed as soon as possible after the file was deleted. When you delete a file the data is not lost, however new files being written to your hard drive may overwrite your data permanently, thereby making recovery impossible without forensic drive examination.
gnuplot
Gnuplot is a portable command-line driven graphing utility for Windows, Linux, OS/2, OSX, VMS, and many other platforms. Gnuplot is able to generate both 2D and 3D plots; delivering the results in animated views. You can also save the graphs to a variety of image formats, including PNG, SVG, JPEG and EPS. Supported outputs include: Interactive screen display: cross-platform (Qt, wxWidgets, x11) or system-specific (MS Windows, OS/2). Direct output to file: postscript (including eps), pdf, png, gif, jpeg, LaTeX, metafont, emf, svg.. Web display formats: HTML5, svg. Gnuplot was originally created to allow scientists and students to visualize mathematical functions and data interactively, but it has grown to support many non-interactive uses such as web scripting. It is also used as a plotting engine by third-party applications such as Octave.

Nmap
Nmap ("Network Mapper") is a free and open source (license) utility for network exploration or security auditing. Many systems and network administrators also find it useful for tasks such as network inventory, managing service upgrade schedules, and monitoring host or service uptime. Nmap uses raw IP packets in novel ways to determine what hosts are available on the network, what services (application name and version) those hosts are offering, what operating systems (and OS versions) they are running, what type of packet filters/firewalls are in use, and dozens of other characteristics. It was designed to rapidly scan large networks, but works fine against single hosts.
